thank you James for your commets
I am unable to specify the volume of the music or the artist playing, I would however like to clarify some points. The speakers you refer to are inside the building and not under the canopy; rock music may not be your preferance but is certainly not down market; Fowey is full of restaurants and pubs playing music which on occasion may be too loud or the wrong genre for an individual; the music we play ranges from Vivaldi to Led Zepplin, from Mr Scruff to The Beatles; as a resident of Fowey for over 30 years I am acutely aware of what is anti-social and of how to prevent it; the attitude of the current bunch of people running it is that of upmost professionalism; we have enjoyed a very succesful season with or without music. I am sorry that the music was too loud for you and will monitor the situation in the future.

In regards to the comment about the music:
All the years I have been coming to Fowey The Other Place has played a full and enjoyable range of genres that would appeal to many different music tastes. Even if it were the case that I did not personally like the music being played at that specific time I would not write a scalding remark on a companyâs publicity website! The sadist part about this is that I would imagine if Mr Proctor had voiced his concerns to the staff themselves they would have accommodated his request forthwith. Voicing a point of view is one thing being outwardly rude is quite another!! I recently ate in your restaurant and I have to say that the food and atmosphere were perfect, thank you all for a very enjoyable time!
